There have been so many complaints against the Rogers County Court from people that have been arrested and been held for long periods of time without being Arrainged. Many people have been held in jail without seeing there court appointed Attorney for weeks. There has been a pattern of the Judges in Rogers County passing a case and making the person in jail sit there for another 30, 60, 90 and beyond 120 days. This violates your Right To Speedy Trial.

 

If you have a court appointed Attorney they remember they work for you. They are paid for their work and (MUST) perform the same as if you were paying their hourly fee. They must spend time with you and work on your case and (NOT) just show up the day your Trail starts. If you have not met with your court apointed Attorney within 48hrs (MAX) then file a complaint with the Oklahoma Bar Association at the address below.

 

If you have or have had an Attorney that is not doing their job then report them (in writing) to the Oklahoma Bar. If you believe there has been misconduct of a Judge then call and get a complaint form because each are done just a little different between Attorneys and Judges. This is where the average person gets lost and does not know what to do and there are some real problems going on here with the Rogers County Legal System.

If you don't report a problem then it cannot be fixed.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
